Receive Bug0 test reports and notifications via email.

Features

Email integration provides:

  • Test report links - Direct links to HTML reports
  • Result summaries - Pass/fail counts
  • Multiple recipients - Send to your team
  • Configurable triggers - All runs or failures only

Setting Up Email

Step 1: Configure Email

  1. Open your project
  2. Go to Project SettingsIntegrationsEmail
  3. Enter recipient email addresses
  4. Choose notification preferences
  5. Save

Step 2: Add Recipients

Add one or more email addresses:

qa-team@yourcompany.com
john@yourcompany.com

Use team aliases or distribution lists to notify multiple people with one address.

Email Content

Test Report Email

Subject: Bug0 Test Results - [Project Name] - ✅ Passed / ❌ Failed

Body includes:

  • Pass/fail summary
  • Test counts and duration
  • Direct link to HTML report
  • Failed test list (if any)

Multiple Recipients

Add multiple email addresses separated by commas or newlines:

Managing Email Settings

Add Recipients

  1. Go to email integration settings
  2. Add new email addresses
  3. Save

Remove Recipients

  1. Go to email integration settings
  2. Remove email addresses
  3. Save

Disable Temporarily

  1. Go to email integration settings
  2. Clear all recipients or disable
  3. Save

Email Reports

HTML Reports

Click the report link in the email to view:

  • Full test execution details
  • Screenshots at key moments
  • Video recordings (if available)
  • Step-by-step logs

Report Retention

Reports are retained for 30 days. Download or screenshot important reports for long-term records.

Best Practices

Use Team Distribution Lists

  • qa-team@company.com instead of individual emails
  • Easier to manage as team changes
  • Single point of configuration

Failures Only for High-Volume

If running many tests:

  • Set to "Failures only"
  • Reduces inbox clutter
  • Important alerts stand out

Dedicated Email Folder

Set up email filters to:

  • Route Bug0 emails to a dedicated folder
  • Highlight failures
  • Keep inbox clean

Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Emails

  1. Check spam/junk folder
  2. Verify email address is correct
  3. Check email integration is configured
  4. Verify tests are actually running

Emails Going to Spam

  1. Add noreply@bug0.com to contacts
  2. Mark Bug0 emails as "Not spam"
  3. Create a filter to never send to spam

Wrong Recipients

  1. Go to email integration settings
  2. Update recipient list
  3. Save changes

Missing Report Links

  1. Reports generate after test completion
  2. Allow a few minutes for processing
  3. Check if tests completed successfully
